An older couple around my town have a Miata in this color, with very similar wheels, and the chrome fender thingies....UGH. They put that crap on to make it look more like the old MG they also have. I have been trying to get the car from them for a while now to save it.

The wheels... ok.
The chrome lining around the windows... I dunno.... maybe for a retro look. but then it shouldn't have those body-colored racing-style ducts in place of the turn signals.
The chrome fender arches. No. Just no. Take them off, and step away. STEP AWAY.
The aftermarket vertical doors... what the hell are you thinking? As if the car isn't hard enough to duck into to begin with... you have to make it look absolutely NOT classic, and more likely to give you a concussion when standing up out of the car?
The wire wheels, and some chrome wing window trim, maybe some vintage-style door mirrors and fuel filler lid... OK Retro miata. I get that, I kind of want one like that.
The chrome arches aren't retro, they are ridiculous in any time period. The chrome around the side marker lights is also too much. Too blatant to look classic.
The vertical doors are not retro, and don't suit the car at all, and shouldn't be there, there is no excuse. I hope they can be converted back. It isn't a Lamborghini or McLaren or other car that suits a vertically hinged door opening.

That multicolor rainbow paint on these little "girly" cars = win.
I would totally hoon the wheels off of a Miata painted like that.
